Virbby is a technology start-up that has developed a platform that connects people and organizations needing immediate interpretation services in everyday settings with an available bilingual person willing to help. Community organizations and schools often need help communicating with people with limited English proficiency, but professional language services are often too expensive and overkill for everyday needs. Virbby connects these organizations with bilingual people on-demand at a fraction of the cost.
